Introduction
I'm going to be showing everyone a rational & evidence based examination of the existence of God.
Despite millennia of theological claims by muslims, christians, and jews all over the world, there remains no evidence or scientifically verifiable proof for the existence of any deity/all powerful entity that created us.
If such an entity truly exists, why has it left no testable trace? Why do religious claims often conflict with observable reality? Why do religious people believe in an ancient book with absolutely NO evidence that it was sent down from any deity?
I will explain why there is no real evidence for god and why belief relies on faith, not facts.
The problem of god's existence
“Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” — Carl Sagan
Here are some of the logical issues with theistic claims:
- The contradiction of omnipotence vs free will
- The problem of evil and suffering
- Incoherence of supernatural intervention with physical laws
- Conflicting divine attributes in various religions
Abrahamic Religions
The three major Abrahamic faiths judaism, christianity, and islam share roots but have serious contradictions and problematic claims when examined:
- Contradictory depictions of God’s nature and will
- Discrepancies between their "holy" scriptures and historical facts
- Conflicting claims about prophecy and divine revelation
- Ethical issues including eternal punishment, gender roles, slavery, treatment of minorities, and MANY horrible things
- Lack of evidence supporting miracles and divine interventions
I will be debunking all 3 religions, starting with Judaism
Torah
- Exodus 31:17 vs. Isaiah 40:28 - Did God rest or never grow weary?
- Genesis 37:28, 37:36, 39:1 - Who sold Joseph: Midianites or Ishmaelites?
- Exodus 12:40 vs. Genesis 15:13 - Were Israelites in Egypt 430 years or 215 years?
Bible
- Matthew 27:5 vs Acts 1:18 - Did Judas hang himself or fall and burst open?
- Matthew 28:17 vs 1 Corinthians 15:6 vs Acts 10:40-41 - Who saw the resurrected Jesus: a few, all disciples, or 500 at once?
- Matthew 1:6-16 vs Luke 3:23-31 - Jesus’ genealogy: through Solomon or Nathan?
Quran
- 6:14 vs 7:143 vs 2:132 - Who was the first Muslim: Muhammad, Moses, or Abraham?
- 2:48 vs 20:109 vs 34:23 - Is intercession impossible or allowed with Allah’s permission?
- 69:17 vs 39:75 - Who carries Allah’s throne: eight beings or all the angels?
- 39:30 vs 3:169 - Are the dead waiting for Judgment Day or already alive with God?
- 16:15 Geology shows mountains are the result of tectonic movement, not stabilizers against it. (source:AMNH)
- 16:79 I mean there isnt much to say here lmfao, obvious contradiction with aerodynamics this is basic physics
God and Morality
The claim that morality is objective and that God is the ultimate moral lawgiver raises many issues:
- God is portrayed as cruel and immoral in many doctrines.
- Eternal punishment for finite "crimes" like disbelief is disproportionate, unfair, and unjust.
- Religious morality often rewards obedience over genuine goodness
“I would never worship a god who would send someone to an eternal lake of fire to be burned forever for the simple fact of non-belief, when that deity knows exactly what it would take to convince every single person on this planet. That is cruel, that is inhumane, it is not kind, it is not generous, and that is not a god worthy of worship.”
— Richard Lael Lillard
According to these beliefs, God would rather send an innocent atheist victim of rape and abuse, who lived a good and moral life, to eternal hell while a believer who commits rape and lives a cruel life may still be forgiven and reach heaven. This exposes the cruelty and injustice of a God that is called "loving" and "good."
Even a 10 year old wouldn't approve of this shit, this is fucking basic elementary school empathy
Common arguments & answers
Argument: How was the universe created if there is no all-powerful deity? Where did we come from?
Abiogenesis, existence has always existed because in order for something to create existence, it has to exist first
Argument: Isn't faith enough to believe?
Answer: Faith is a personal conviction but not evidence. Beliefs without evidence are not reliable for objective truth claims.
Argument: How do you explain religious experiences?
Answer: Religious experiences are subjective and can be explained by psychology, neurology, and cultural influence. An atheist could also make the argument that he just "believes in his heart that there is no God" and obviously, that isn't enough evidence that there is no God.
Argument: What about miracles?
Answer: Miracles lack credible, independent documentation and they contradict natural laws, it's all bullshit written in a book and people believe it with no proof whatsoever.
Argument: If God doesn't exist, then how is the world perfect for life?
Answer: It simply isn't, there are MANY flaws. What was the point of diseases that affected animals that existed before humans by millions of years ago? It makes no sense.
And another problem with this argument is that it just assumes that the end goal of the universe is life, life EVOLVED INTO the enviroment based on its conditions that the universe didn't just do this and this just so that it could create life.
Conclusion
The Abrahamic religions contain a shit ton of contradictions, moral issues, and claims unsupported by scientific evidence. An all powerful all knowing deity would NOT allow confusion, errors, and harmful teachings to persist in supposedly "divinely inspired texts".
Sources of everything I've talked about:
- Origin of life: Abiogenesis research explores how life emerged from non-living matter (Wikipedia: Abiogenesis).
- Cosmology: The Big Bang theory, supported by cosmic microwave background radiation and galaxy redshift data, explains the universe's origin without requiring divine intervention (NASA).
- Evolution: The diversity of life is explained by natural selection and genetic mutation over billions of years, documented extensively in biology (Nature Education).
- Geology: Mountains result from tectonic activity, not divine design or stabilization (American Museum of Natural History).
Also, many ethical teachings in these religions conflict with modern human rights and moral philosophy. The concept of eternal punishment for finite actions, unequal gender roles, and approving violence goes against modern ideas of fairness and equal rights
Ultimately, belief in these religions relies heavily on faith rather than real facts, evidence or consistent logic. Encouraging skepticism, critical thinking, and reliance on scientific methods leads to a more rational and humane worldview
